WHAT IS AN ESTA?

Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is an online visa application system for travellers visiting United States either by Sea or Air. ESTA application system is entirely online and there are no forms that need to be printed and you do not have to go to a U.S. Embassy or Consulate in person. Only travellers who hold a valid nationality from countries covered under the Visa Waiver Program are eligible to apply for an ESTA.

WHAT IS VISA WAIVER PROGRAM AND WHO CAN APPLY FOR AN ESTA?

Visa Waiver Program is a United States government initiative that helps citizens from within the limited set of Visa Waiver Countries to enter the United States for either tourism, transit or business purposes for up to 90 days without needing to obtain a traditional visa. So it helps travellers to plan a quick trip to the US within a short period of time.
All travellers visiting United States (by air or sea) under the Visa Waiver Program are required to hold a valid ESTA travel authorization. The purpose of ESTA is to pre-screen all Visa Waiver Travellers before they leave their respective countries.

Note: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen are removed from under visa waiver program.

HOW LONG IS MY TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION VALID?

An ESTA is valid for two years from the date of authorization, or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.

AM I REQUIRED TO ENTER US ON THE EXACT DATE MENTIONED IN MY APPLICATION?

No, you may enter US anytime, within the validity period of your ESTA.

WHEN DO I NEED TO APPLY FOR ESTA?

You must submit Applications at least 24 hours prior to travel. If you have less than 24 hours, you can still apply and we will do our best to process your application on time.

DO I NEED TO OBTAIN SEPARATE ESTA FOR PEOPLE ACCOMPANYING ME?

Yes. Each traveller must have his or her own ESTA.

I DID NOT USE MY ESTA. CAN I GET A REFUND?

No. You will not get a refund of your payment.

How long will it take to get my ESTA?

Your ESTA confirmation will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours after successful completion of your application. ESTA applications can take up to 72 hours to be processed by the US Government and all applicants should check status before traveling.

Can I re-apply for an ESTA authorization if my application was not authorized first time?

You can re-apply, but only after 10 days and your circumstances must have changed. Reapplying with fake information in order to be eligible for an ESTA authorization will make the traveller permanently ineligible for travel to the USA under the Visa Waiver Program.

What if tourist is not approved for ESTA?

If an ESTA application is denied and the tourist wishes to continue with the trip, the tourist will be required to apply for a non-immigrant visa at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

How much is an ESTA fee?

The cost of ESTA is $79.00 per passport holder, which includes our processing fee, service fee and ESTA fee excluding bank charges.

Is it secure to make a credit card payment on the Trusty Visas web site?

Our payment gateway provides a secure method for authorizing credit/debit card transactions over the Internet and has been specifically evaluated and approved by the providers. We are not responsible for any harm that may result from security vulnerabilities of your bank, your computer or your internet connection.

Why is my application still pending when it's been more than 72 hours?

In rare circumstances applications can remain pending for more than 72 hours, if this is the case then we recommend calling the ESTA department of US Customs and Border Protection on +01-202-344-3710.
